2026 Study Tour from the Netherlands |Discovering Eastern Aesthetics in SIFEC

当三月的春意轻拂申城，一场以时尚为媒、以文化为桥的跨国交流之旅在上海国际时尚教育中心悄然展开。作为学院国际时尚业务的重要实践，此次接待来自荷兰ROC Mondriaan学校的游学团，不仅是一次学习交流，更是一次跨越国界的时尚文化对话。游学团在为期五天的时尚造型与文化课程中，从东方美学出发，循着时尚造型、非遗技艺、新中式时尚、海派文化美学的脉络，层层深入，开启了一段兼具审美启发与文化温度的沉浸式学习之旅。

As spring arrived in Shanghai, a cross-cultural exchange program centered on fashion and culture took place at SIFEC. As an important part of SIFEC’s international fashion education efforts, the program welcomed a study tour group from ROC Mondriaan in the Netherlands. Over five days, students joined a series of fashion styling and cultural courses, exploring Eastern aesthetics, traditional crafts, new Chinese fashion, and Shanghai-style culture through an immersive learning experience.

01 走进中国文化：

在东方美学与非遗技艺中感知传统之美

01 Exploring Chinese Culture

本次课程从东方美学切入，通过专题讲座、创意工作坊与文化体验，引导学员们建立起对中国审美体系的初步认识。

The program began with an introduction to Chinese aesthetics through lectures, workshops, and cultural activities, helping students build a basic understanding of Chinese aesthetic traditions.

在《东方神韵：解码中式美学》与《千年传承中国色》等课程中，学员们从建筑、书画、瓷器、中国传统五色观及色彩搭配等多个维度，系统了解中式美学的基本特征与文化脉络。那些原本存在于历史、器物与生活细节中的审美线索，也在讲述与互动中变得清晰可感，让学员们逐步读懂东方美学所蕴含的秩序之美、意境之美与含蓄之美。

Through courses such as The Charm of the East: Decoding Chinese Aesthetics and Chinese Colors Through the Ages, students explored Chinese aesthetics from different perspectives. These courses helped them better understand the sense of order, artistic mood, and subtle beauty in Chinese aesthetics.

WORKSHOP环节，学员们将课堂中的理解转化为创意实践，从“秩序”、“纹样”、“意境”等关键词中提炼灵感，通过拼贴创作个人灵感板，让抽象的审美感受转化为具体的视觉表达。

In the workshop session, students turned what they had learned into visual practice. Inspired by ideas such as order, patterns, and artistic mood, they created personal mood boards through collage, transforming abstract ideas into visual expression.

中国传统手工艺课程也让大家更深入地走近非遗之美。从中国手工艺到扎染体验，学员们不仅了解了相关技艺的历史渊源、文化寓意与工艺流程，也在亲手制作中真切体会到传统工艺的温度与魅力。在扎染课程中，随着捆扎、浸染、拆线等步骤逐步完成，一块块蓝白交织、纹样自然的作品呈现眼前，传统工艺之美也由“观看”转向了“体验”。

From Chinese knotting to tie-dye, students learned about the history, symbolism, and production processes of these crafts while also experiencing them firsthand. In the tie-dye workshop, students completed the full process of binding, dyeing, and untying fabric, watching blue-and-white patterns gradually appear. In this way, traditional craftsmanship became something they could directly experience.

02 聚焦时尚造型：

在新中式语境中理解当代时尚表达

02 Fashion Styling

如果说中国文化课程为学员们打开了一扇理解东方审美的大门，那么时尚造型与新中式体验，则让他们进一步感受到传统文化如何在当代设计中焕发新生。

In the image and styling course, students explored personal style, outfit coordination, and self-expression. 

在新中式造型课程中，学员们围绕个人风格、服饰搭配与自我表达展开学习。课程以轻松互动的方式，引导大家重新认识妆容、发型、服装、体态等元素在整体形象中的作用，也帮助学员们理解，形象不仅是外在展示，更是一种关于自我认知、审美判断与表达方式的综合呈现。

Through interactive activities, they were encouraged to rethink the role of makeup, hairstyle, clothing, posture, and other elements in shaping overall image. The course also showed that image is not only about appearance, but also about self-awareness, aesthetic judgment, and personal expression.

在新中式服饰体验与设计师品牌探访环节中，学员们走进东方国际旗下的尚街新中式空间，近距离观察传统元素在当代服饰中的创新表达。从面料肌理到服装廓形，从品牌陈列到设计理念，大家不仅感受到新中式服饰的包容性与时尚感，也更加直观地理解了东方美学如何从文化概念转化为真实可感的设计语言。对于来自海外的学员而言，这不仅是一场时尚体验，更是一堂生动的“中国当代设计”现场课。

During the new Chinese fashion experience and designer brand visits, students observed how traditional elements are used in contemporary clothing. From fabric textures and silhouettes to store presentation and brand concepts, they gained a more direct understanding of how Eastern aesthetics can be translated into modern design language.   

03 感知城市气质：

在海派文化与茶生活中体会上海风韵

03 Experiencing the Spirit of the City

除了课堂学习与时尚体验，本次游学项目也将城市文化纳入课程之中，让学员们在上海这座兼具历史底蕴与现代气息的城市中，感受中国文化更为丰富立体的一面。

在上海博物馆“摩登华影：海派旗袍与百年时尚”展览中，学员们透过一件件代表性服饰，直观感受海派旗袍从诞生到经典形成的发展轨迹，也进一步理解上海如何在传统与摩登之间形成独特的城市审美气质。海派时尚所体现的开放、融合与创新，也让学员们对中国近现代服饰文化有了更加深刻的认识。

At the exhibition QIPAO: Glamour and Modernity beyond Shanghai at the Shanghai Museum, students viewed representative garments showing the development of the Shanghai-style qipao from its early form to its classic style. The exhibition also helped them understand how Shanghai developed its own distinctive aesthetic through the interaction of tradition and modernity.

在上海老茶馆的宋代点茶体验中，另一种属于中国传统文化的从容与雅致徐徐展开。茶筅轻拂、汤花浮现，传统茶艺中的礼仪、节奏与审美趣味在沉浸式体验中自然流淌。对学员们而言，这不仅是一次文化体验，更是一场关于生活方式与东方精神的细腻感知。

At a traditional teahouse in Shanghai, students also experienced Song Dynasty-style tea whisking. Under the guidance of a professional instructor, they learned about the rhythm, etiquette, and refined beauty of Chinese tea culture. More than a hands-on activity, it was also an opportunity to better understand the elegance and cultural depth of traditional Chinese life.

此次交流项目的成功举办，进一步加深了学院与荷兰ROC Mondriaan学校之间的深厚缘分。双方在课程探讨、文化交流、人才培养等方面达成了高度共识，为未来更深层次、更广领域的合作奠定了坚实基础。学院也将以此为契机，持续拓展国际时尚教育合作网络，推动更多跨国文化交流项目落地，助力中国时尚文化走向世界。

The successful completion of this exchange program further strengthened the connection between SIFEC and ROC Mondriaan. Both sides reached broad agreement in areas such as curriculum development, cultural exchange, and talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in the future. Taking this opportunity, SIFEC will continue to expand its international fashion education network, promote more cross-cultural exchange programs, and support the global communication of Chinese fashion and culture.

未来，我校将继续依托国际时尚教育平台，深化与更多国家及地区院校的交流合作，推动更多形式多样、内容丰富的文化交流项目落地，持续讲好中国时尚故事，助力中华优秀传统文化在国际舞台上焕发新的生机与活力。

In the future, SIFEC will continue to deepen cooperation with institutions in more countries and regions, develop more cultural exchange programs, and further share the story of Chinese fashion with the world, helping traditional Chinese culture gain new vitality on the international stage.
